Founded in 1946, Meher Mount welcomes visitors of all faiths or of no faith at all. It is a universal center because Avatar Meher Baba is universal — accessible to all. Many come because they have heard of the beauty of the place, because of the “Cathedral Tree” (Baba’s Tree under which Meher Baba sat during His visit in 1956), and to receive what Darwin Shaw a follower of Meher Baba called an “invisible fountain of spiritual energy” placed here by Meher Baba.
